Director of Web Development [2015-present]

A key leader as part of the communications and marketing team, overseeing all aspects of design and development for electronic communications, including print design and production. Responsibilities include developing, planning, implementing, and co-coordinating content delivery with the marketing team to best promote the College’s mission and goals.

Director of Web Development [2006-2015]

Responsibilities Include:

Manage the development of the College’s web site by building new sites, updating or enhancing existing designs with new technology and new media.

Continual oversight and contribution to the significant development of custom web applications for the content management system (cms) and other web sites. These applications are primarily database-
oriented and are used to administer content, reuse data, and deliver content to web pages in order to enhance user experiences.

Awarded the CASE District II 2013 Gold Accolade Award for the new Skidmore College web design, launched in July of 2012

Details of responsibilities:

  • Hiring and management of a growing web staff – 3 full-time staff members and additional 5 freelance employees since 2005 (sole web developer prior)
  • Web design – all facets (sites, banners, photo editing and more)
  • Illustration – maps, logos, and other projects
  • Oversee overhaul of design and structure of top-level pages on the web site, including:
    • surveys to alumni, students, faculty and staff
